What to bring to buy a phone
Answered here
Quick answer
Bring your National ID card or a current NIRA confirmation letter, and use the SIM you will keep while you pay. Know the names and phone numbers of three people we can contact, and your home address. You also need the deposit on your MTN or Airtel Money.
What to do
- Bring your National ID card. The seller photographs the front and the back. A current NIRA confirmation letter is also accepted.
- Use your own phone number: the SIM you will keep while you pay.
- Know three contact persons: their names, phone numbers and how they are related to you.
- Know your district and address.
- Have the deposit on your MTN or Airtel Money.
Good to know
- The seller also takes a photo of you.
- The credit team can ask for more, for example a letter from your LC1 chairperson, a Mobile Money statement or a guarantor.
- Never send photos of your ID in a group chat.
