Why the app asks for notification access

Quick answer
So it can save your Majibu payment receipts from MTN and Airtel and help trace a payment. It keeps only messages that look like a successful payment to Majibu. It does not read WhatsApp, and personal messages are not forwarded. A saved receipt does not open the phone by itself.
What to do
- In the app, tap Allow & continue on Finish setup, or the Turn on notification access card on Home.
- Android opens the notification access settings. Switch on Majibu Companion.
- Go back to the Majibu app.
Good to know
- When your SMS app shows a successful Mobile Money payment to Majibu, the app sends Majibu the amount and transaction ID so the payment is easier to trace.
- The app shows "Payment message saved. Your balance updates after payment is confirmed." Your balance changes only when Majibu receives the money.
- Messages in WhatsApp, Telegram and Messenger are never read.

Never send your Mobile Money PIN. Majibu staff never ask for it.
