Why did my payment give me fewer days?

Quick answer

If you missed days, your payment first covers those missed days. Only what is left adds new days. Example: you missed 2 days and pay for 3 days, so 2 days of money covers the missed days and you get 1 new day. The Majibu app shows the date you are paid until.

What to do

  1. Open the Majibu app. Home shows To catch up and how many days you are behind.
  2. Count missed days first, then new days.
  3. To be fully up to date, pay the catch-up plus today's amount. In the app, choose Catch up or a number of days; the day options already include the catch-up.

Good to know

  • Only whole days count. A payment a little below your daily amount adds no day yet; the leftover waits for your next payment.
  • A paid day ends at 11:59 pm.
  • Example with money: your daily amount is UGX 3,000. You missed 2 days (UGX 6,000) and pay UGX 9,000. UGX 6,000 covers the missed days and UGX 3,000 pays for today.
