How much should I pay each day?

Quick answer

Pay at least your full daily amount, or round it up. Your phone gets whole days only, so UGX 3,500 against a daily amount of UGX 3,562 is a little short and can lock the phone a day early. Extra money is never lost; it counts toward your next day.

What to do

  1. Find your daily amount: in the Majibu app on Home (Due today), or on your contract.
  2. Pay that amount or more. Round up, never down: for UGX 3,562 a day, pay UGX 3,600, not UGX 3,500.
  3. If you missed days, pay the catch-up first. The app shows it as To catch up, and its Pay screen offers Catch up.
  4. To pay several days at once, multiply and round up: 7 days at UGX 3,562 is UGX 24,934, so pay UGX 25,000.

Good to know

  • The system adds up everything you have paid and divides it by your daily amount. Only whole days count; any leftover waits for your next payment.
  • Paying a few days ahead protects you when a payment is slow to arrive.
  • Pay early in the day. A paid day ends at 11:59 pm, and a payment can take time to be credited.
